Chief Minister Raman Singh has assured farmers that they would continue to receive bonus as long as the BJP Government remained in power in Chhattisgarh, a press release issued from State BJP headquarters said on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister had categorically stated during his State-wide ‘Vikas Yatra’ after distribution of `1,900 crore bonus that the farmers need not worry about bonus issues as long as the party was in power, it stated.
The Opposition had been raising the issue whether bonus distributed was only for the current year or will it be distributed in future also. The Chief Minister has replied that the Opposition had been asking this question as even they are certain that the BJP would form the Government for the third time in Chhattisgarh, the press release stated.
The Opposition has realised that the BJP would certainly receive support from farmers during the polls. However, the Opposition designs to mislead the farmers have failed on the issue, it added.
