Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Dayaldas Baghel inaugurated the historic Bhoramdev Mahotsav on Wednesday.
In his address, Baghel said that owing to the blessings of lord Shiva and able leadership of Chief Minister Raman Singh, Chhattisgarh State is among the top States in the list of developed ones in the entire nation.
He added that during the past 14 years the State Government brought grandeur to the historic 'Bhoramdev Mahotsav '. lakhs of devotees participate in the Mainpat Utsav, Tatapani Utsav and Bastar Dussehra Utsav and the authorities encourage the local artistes.
He announced the sanction of Rs 10 lakh to the Mahotsav.
Baghel added that due to the blessings of Baba Bhoramdev the State is progressing fast and is among fastest developing ones in the entire country. Farmers are getting top government priority for their welfare.
He said that several social welfare schemes are also being operated for welfare of all cross-sections of the society.
Baghel wished the district administration a great success in the conduct of the Mahotsav.
Chairman of the Bhoramdev Management Committee Anand Singh said that lakhs of devotees from Kabirdham and adjoining districts participate enthusiastically in the Mahotsav. Artistes get an opportunity to display their talent.
