Complaints of candidates taking admission in Medical Colleges through fake domicile certificates have been received, Chhattisgarh Health and Family Welfare Minister T.S. Singh Deo said on Tuesday. Action will be taken against such candidates.
After verification of the certificates, the admission of such erring candidates will be cancelled, he said in a written reply to the Assembly.
Congress MLA Satyanarayan Sharma had sought details of the participation and admission of students in Medical Colleges using fake domicile certificates.
Singh Deo said complaints had been filed in 2017. All the Deans of Government Medical Colleges and the Principal of the Government Dental Medical College have been issued letters in this regard by the Medical Education directorate.
They have been told to check the documents submitted by the candidates, mainly marksheet of Class 12, original domicile certificate, caste certificate, income certificate, EWS certificate or any other attached documents.
After the scrutiny, an affidavit will be taken from the students. Photocopy of the domicile certificates will be sent to respective Collectors for verification and certification.
If a candidate is found who has violated law, his admission will be cancelled and action initiated against him. The vacant seats will be included in the upcoming allocation.
