Fake ads promising jobs at Raipur airport

If you come across an advertisement in the local newspapers that promises a high-paying job with Swami Vivekananda Airport, Raipur, beware !!

The Raipur Airport authorities have stated that misleading advertisements are being put by certain elements in a few dailies in the city. These ads claim to give training to young men and offer placement with the Airport.

“There is a systematic chain through which innocent people are being duped in the name of jobs,”   Director,  Swami Vivekananda Airport, Raipur, AK Rai informed .

According to the authorities, these advertisements promise jobs with the Airport to young men. When readers call at the given number, the cheaters ask for their personal details and educational qualifications. After a gap of  a few days, the caller is approached by a recruiting team that claims to call from Delhi.

The ‘recruiters’ ask the person to come to Delhi and submit a few thousand rupees. After collecting the money, the applicant is sent to Ranchi where he is told that a member from the agency will take him to the Training centre.

After the applicant reaches Ranchi, another person from the fake recruiting team collects the second installment of money and gives some kind of training for a day or two. The applicant is then asked to go to Raipur. It is when they lose around Rs 10,000 or more and reach Raipur, they come to know from the Airport authorities that no such advertisements were released by the officials.

“By the time these people approach the Airport, they have lost a lot of money. Some did not even register a complaint with the police. I urge people not to fall in such traps,” said Rai.
