The South East Central Railway (SECR) has decided to add extra coaches to as many as three long-distance trains running via Raipur Railway station to cope with the spurt in number of passengers.
A press release issued by South East Central Railway (SECR) division on Tuesday informed that one AC-3 coach will be permanently added with train number 13425/13426 Malda-Surat-Malda Express Train.13425 Malda-Surat Express Train will start running with extra coach on July 19 from Malda station. On return, 13426 Surat-Malda Express Train will start running with extra coach on July 21 from Surat station.
The SECR has also added one AC-3 coach with 12442/12441 New Delhi-Bilaspur-New Delhi Rajdhani Express on temporary basis.The train 12442 New Delhi-Bilaspur Rajdhani Express will start running with extra coach on July 19 from New Delhi and will continue till July 29, 2014.Similarly, 12441 Bilaspur-New Delhi Rajdhani Express will start running with extra coach on July 21 from Bilaspur station and will continue till July 31, 2014.
Similarly, a sleeper-1 coach with be added in 12410/12409 Nijamuddin-Raigarh-Nijamuddin Gondwana Express.As per the scheduled, 12410 Nijamuddin-Raigarh Gondwana Express will start running with extra coach on July 16 from Nijamuddin station till July 31, 2014. The train 12409 Raigarh-Nijamuddin Gondwana Express will start running with extra coach on July 18from Raigarh station till August 2, 2014.
The official sources said that there was a long waiting list in these trains and extra coaches are added to cater the huge rush.
