Experts from abroad meet peers in conference

A two-day multi-disciplinary international conference, organised by Rungta Group of Institutes, commenced here on Monday. More than 750 researchers and experts from all over the world are participating in the conference to discuss technical advancements and researches.

Only two per cent of India’s students choose to go for research streams after receiving higher education. This is a matter of great concern, said Sourabh Rungta, Director (Technical) of Rungta College of Engineering and Tecnology, while addressing a Press conference held in the city on Sunday. It is very important for the advancement of the society that a sizeable population of the country engages in research work, he said.

The researchers from other countries will meet their counterparts from India’s top institutes like IITs and share their knowledge in the conference in the city. Such a conference is being organised in the State for the second time after 2013, Rungta said. Researchers from Singapore, Switzerland, China, Japan, Czechoslovakia and many other countries will also take part in the conference. Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal and Retired IAS officer Dr Susheel Trivedi were the chief guests on the occasion.
