The Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police (DGP) on Wednesday asked Public Works Department (PWD) officials to expedite the construction of bridges and culverts on the Palli-to-Barsoor road.
Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, DGP Ashok Juneja and PWD Secretary Siddharth Komal Pardeshi inspected the construction of the in a Naxalite-hit area. The officials visited Kadenar and Kademeta villages, an official communication said.
The officials reviewed the progress made, security arrangements and the construction work. The officials stated that out of the 39.4 km Palli-to-Barsoor road, work was over in 35 km. The remaining work is in progress. Of the 104 bridges and culverts, six have not been constructed yet.
