The examination of Class 10th Environment studies has been rescheduled and would be held on March 29, 2014. Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) had cancelled the exam following the leaking of question paper on March 3 from a school in Bemetara two days before the scheduled date of examination.
CGBSE Deputy Secretary Yashwant Singh Verma informed reporter that there will be no change in timing of examination and it will start at 8 am and conclude at 11.30 am. Examination materials, including question papers, related to the Environment subject will be distributed to the examination centres through the coordination centres of all the districts on March 23, 2014 at 11 am, Verma said.
Notably, three higher secondary school lecturers in Bemetara were suspended and district education officer was issued show cause notice by the Education Department for leaking of paper.
