If a contractual employee of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Scheme dies, an ex gratia of Rs 1 lakh will be provided to his or her family.
A circular in this regard was issued by the state MNRES office to all district Collectors and programme coordinators on Saturday.
State MNREGS Commissioner Mohammad Kaisar Abdul Haq said in the circular that the ex gratia would be provided after completion of two years of service.
