Severe discontentment has been observed in the students of Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU) towards the evaluation system. It has been noticed that marks of a huge chunk of students applying of revaluation after the exams are increased after the revaluation.
Meanwhile, when contacted Registrar of CSVTU, GR Sahu over the issue he stated if records of other university are seen then the picture would become clearer. “The number of students in our university is more than that studying in other universities so if a comparative figure could be presented than it would be more appropriate,” the register said.
Notably few days back the results of BE Second semester was declared after which thousands of students in about 45 colleges affiliated with CSVTU have applied for revaluation in different subjects. The large number of application submissions exposes some serious lacunae in the copy evaluation system of technical university.
CSVTU established in January 2004 after formation of state governs the engineering colleges in Chhattisgarh. The huge number of revaluation and change in the numbers subject students to unnecessary monetary burden and trouble. CSVTU charges Rs 200 from each student for revaluation in one paper and according to estimate every year through revaluation the university is able to collect a handsome amount running to lakhs.
