The day-three of Equinox 4.0, the annual cultural business event of IIM Raipur, concluded here on Sunday. The concluding day witnessed interesting events where students contested neck to neck for winning competitions.
X-Quiz_IT, a national-level business quiz competition organised by the Quizzing Club of IIM Raipur marked the concluding day. Teams from premier business schools and colleges such as IIT Kharagpur, SIBM Pune, IFMR Chennai and HNlU Raipur along with the executives from big corporate offices such as Bhilai Steel Plant, Vedanta and Varun Furnicrafts actively participated in the event. Eight teams including three from IIM Raipur qualified to the finals. The team from Varun Furnicrafts won the first prize whereas the team from IFMR Chennai was the runner-up.
‘Socialist Procurator’ - which is a national-level CSR case study competition, was organised by the CSR Club of IIM Raipur called Kartavya. The case study provided the participants to study various NGOs in and around Raipur and suggest improvements to make their functioning more efficient. The team from IIM Raipur was the winner, whereas the SIBM team stood second.
The fun event of the day was the fashion show called ‘Verve’ organised by CUSP, the cultural and sports club of IIM Raipur. It witnessed heavy participation across the colleges in Raipur. A beautiful blend of Western and Indian garments was showcased on the ramp by the talented participants.
The three-day event was a huge success. Equinox 4.0 was a reflection of the enthusiasm, talent and business acumen of the students of IIM Raipur.All these events were conducted by IIM Raipur’s students with support from NTPC, IDBI bank, HIRA group and Bank of Maharashtra in the form of sponsorships.
