State government on Wednesday ordered Economic Offence Wing (EOW) of the state to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe charges against Aman Singh, former principal secretary to Chief Minister.

According to information, Secretary General Administration Rita Shandilya through an order instructed the EOW to probe into the complaint against Singh which was levelled by Vijaya Mishra to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

In the complaint Mishra had also complained that the former Indian Revenue Services official, Singh, during his contractual appointment in Chhattisgarh had hidden the fact that there was no probe pending anywhere against him.

Mishra in complaint citing information received through Right to Information (RTI) had claimed that several corruption cases were pending against Singh prior to his deputation in Chhattisgarh.

Mishra had also produced the complaint raised by senior BJP leader and former Home Minister Nankiram Kanwar in which he had levelled corruption charges against Singh.
