Sleuths of the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) on Friday reached the office of State Civil Supplies Corporation here to commence probe on Rs 36,000 crore PDS scam afresh.
The team sought all files and documents related to the scam from the officials present.
Superintendent of Police (SP) EOW I.K. Elesela later informed that
The scam was unearthed between year 2011 to 2014 and the EOW since then was trying to locate the missing documents. If necessary, all the documents in the office would be taken for examination”, he added.
Notably, a SIT has been formed by the State government headed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) S.R.P. Kalluri to probe into the PDS scam. SP, EOW, Elesela is also a member of the SIT.
