State Urban Administration Minister Amar Agrawal who is also in-charge of Janjgir-Champa district has asked officials to ensure drinking water to the denizens during the ongoing summer season.
In a review meeting held as part of the ongoing lok Suraj Abhiyan on Thursday, he said all the civic bodies have been provided the necessary funds for ensuring uninterrupted drinking water supply.
He mentioned wherever water can be supplied through tanks, instructions have been given to provide additional tanks for the convenience of people.
The Minister stressed on taking up a survey of water augmentation schemes in civic bodies again. The step should be followed by preparing a proposal in order to provide drinking water to all the households, said Agrawal.
He asked to dispose of the pending cases of electrification at the civic bodies within a month. The Energy Department was told to do the required electrification under the Mukhyamantri Vidyutikaran Yojana by the month of March next year.
