Collector Taman Singh Sonwani in a meeting on held here asked officials to ensure the proper implementation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).
He directed to provide employment to the beneficiaries under the programme.
Based on the preference of the needy villagers, Sonwani told officers to conduct two or three MGNREGA programmes.
He stressed on commencing the pond construction and land leveling works sanctioned under the Act.
Sonwani asked officers to take steps implementation of the sanctioned programmes under Bastar Development Authority, Integrated Action Plan and Backward Regions Grant Fund Project.
He pointed on considering the interior area works as a priority covering construction of roads, schools, anganwadis, ashrams and hostels.
Regarding this, officials were told to do regular monitoring of the construction works.
Sonwani ordered to take strict action against the Contractors delaying such works.
