Collector P Dayanand has directed officials to ensure total success of the upcoming ‘National Pulse Polio Drive’ scheduled on January 18 and the second phase of the drive to be held on February 22. Dayanand during the meeting said that 1.21 lakh children from 0 to 5 years of age would be administered the pulse polio drops during the drive.
He asked the officials of Woman and Child Development Department, District Panchayat and Education Department to establish coordination with each other for the successful implementation of the massive programme.
The vaccination booths would also be installed in Sai Sanjeevani, Children Hospital, Sneha Clinic, Bakshi Nursing Home and Cancer Care Hospital. The programme would be monitored by the supervisors at the local level and experts from World Health Organisation (WHO) at the State level.
