Enhance the facilities for tourists at Purkhauti Muktangan apart from making it more attractive with new decorations, Chhattisgarh Culture Minister Amarjeet Bhagat said on Wednesday.
He was holding a review of departmental works. He said proposals should be prepared for grading artists and increasing the incentive paid to them.
He said the online ticket arrangements should be made for tourists to visit Purkhauti Muktangan. The ticket counters should also be increased.
Reviewing the Chinhari scheme, he asked the officers to give maximum opportunities to local artistes.
The registration of artists, grading them on the basis of seniority and programmes given at the national level and increasing the incentive amount should be done.
The Minister wanted medical facilities and pensions to be extended to the registered local artists.
He asked officials to publicize the primitive art culture and the National Tribal Dance Festival in tourism centres and information centres.
