The tableaux of State’s Energy Department displayed during the Republic Day celebrations in Raipur, has received second prize.
On behalf of the State-owned power companies, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company limited (CSPDCl) Ankit Anand received the award from Chief Minister Raman Singh, according to an official Press release issued here.
On the occasion, Chhattisgarh legislative Assembly Speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal, Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal, Culture Minister Dayaldas Baghel and others were present.
Notably, the State-owned power companies in association with Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA) had displayed the tableaux of village electrification through conventional and alternative form of energy during the Republic Day function. With the tableaux, the Department attempted to spread the importance of solar energy for environment conservation.
In the tableaux, the Department also attempted to display its achievements including uninterrupted power supply in the State’s rural areas round the year, utilisation of electricity in household and farming purpose, electrification of schools, Aanganbadi centers and primary health centres and others.
