Former Chief Minister Raman Singh on Wednesday said in the Chhattisgarh Assembly that there is a need for formulating a long-term policy for curbing Naxal menace in the State.
If the new government alters the Anti-Naxal policy, the State would have to suffer for many years, he said.
The former Chief Minister was participating in the discussion on motion of thanks to the Governor’s address.
He said as the ruling party had received full mandate of female voters on its promises made, the government should immediately fulfill the promise made by it.
Singh further charged the government of bringing ‘anarchy’ and said the new government had stalled all the development works underway and had cancelled the work orders of around Rs 50,000 crores. This was not good for the health of the state, he said.
The former Chief Minister also supported the stand of his government when in power about outsourcing teachers and said now after ending outsourcing, the schools in tribal pockets of Bastar and Surguja would be locked as there would be no teachers for subjects like Science and Mathematics.
