Chhattisgarh has ordered the release of payment of arrears of salary from October to December 2016 in the form of a fourth installment.
Till date, three installments of the salary arrears have been paid to government employees.
The Department of Finance said on Wednesday that the Chhattisgarh Salary Revision Rule (2017) has been implemented from January 1, 2016.
Regular payment of the revised salary is being done with effect from July 1, 2017.
The state government decided to pay the arrears of 18 months’ salary in six equal annual installments from January 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017. The fourth instalment will be released.
According to another order, the employees paid salary and wages under the contingency fund will also receive the fourth installment of arrears.
