Election Commission of India is launching the ‘Electoral Verification Programme’ from September 1 at 11.00 am across the country where around 10 lakh electors will be certified, while in Chhattisgarh the target is around 60,000 electors. The drive will continue till October 15, 2019.
Chief Electoral Officer, Chhattisgarh Subrat Sahoo has directed all the district electoral officers, deputies, registration officer to ensure the programme is implemented as per directives of Election Commission.
Sahoo said a meeting with all political parties at district level will be organised while training is being imparted to master trainers, ERO and booth level officers. It will be launched at all level from district to all polling centres.
CEO hoped that performance of Chhattisgarh will be better as compared to other states. He added that across the country 200 booth level officers, 25 district electoral officers and 5 Chief Electoral Officer will be given certification awards for excellent job.
