Elections are not fought with dependency on campaign banners and posters but on sheer determination of the party workers to win polls says State Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Durg Assembly constituency Hemchand Yadav.
Addressing a party workers convention here on Tuesday, Yadav said that there is no lack of determination among the BJP’s grass roots level workers as they enter the poll battlefield.
He said that the party’s workers believe in fighting polls at the ground level without being dependent on campaign posters and banners.
Take every booth as a unit and workers must go to every home in the Durg constituency. let people of the constituency know the achievements of the ruling Government in the State, Yadav told the party workers.
He said that the party workers must follow the known path of aggression in their working style as polls are a battlefield and they should be ready to respond to any Congress designs.
Yadav said that many Anicuts were created on the Shivnath river during the BJP rule near Durg so that there was no problem of drinking water in the city.
Addressing the convention, Durg City Mayor Dr Shivkumar Tamer stated that during the Congress rule in 2003 in Chhattisgarh, a total of Rs253 crore was available to all the municipal corporations of the State.
The ruling BJP Government in the State allocated a total of Rs2,500 crore to the municipal corporations and carried out concretisation of roads in the various lanes and bylanes of localities, construction of drainage systems and community halls, he said.
