A total of 2,129 elderly people aged above 60 years were treated free of cost in Siyan Jatan Clinics in Ayurvedic colleges and ayurvedic hospitals in Chhattisgarh on Thursday.
The Additional Director in the Ayush Directorate, Dr Vijay Sahu, said 136 were treated in the Ayurvedic college hospital in Raipur and 68 got free treatment in the Bilaspur-based Ayurvedic college hospital.
As many as 60 persons were treated in Durg, 65 in Raigarh, 90 in Balod, 74 in Surguja and 41 in Bastar District Ayurvedic Hospitals, an official communication said.
Meanwhile, a total of 861 elderly people were treated in Specialized Therapy Centers in 22 Community Health Centers in Raipur, Raigarh, Balod, Bilaspur, Mungeli, Janjgir, Korba, Dhamtari, Mahasamund, Rajnandgaon, Kabirdham, Surajpur, Korea, Jashpur and Kanker districts.
