Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announced on Labour Day on Sunday a “Mukhyamantri Shramik Siyan Sahayata Yojana” under which a financial aid of Rs 10, 000 per year will be provided to elderly labourers.
The Chief Minister made the announcement at the Labour Day function organised at the BTI Ground here.
An official communiqué said that labourers aged 59-60 and registered under the Chhattisgarh Bhawan Evam Anya Sannirman Mandal for the past five years will be eligible for the aid.
The Chief Minister also hiked the grant to women e-rickshaw drivers. Instead of Rs 50,000, these women will now be facilitated with a grant of Rs 1 lakh for purchasing the rickshaw.
The age restriction for “Noni Suraksha Yojana” started for daughters of labourers was also increased; now the girls aged 18-21 will be eligible to benefit under the scheme.
