The second day of the Inter-DPS Football Tournament (Boys: Open), 2014–Zone-4 saw some exciting matches at DPS Risali School ground on Friday, a DPS Press release issued here on Friday stated.
The results of the matches were as follows (Scores in brackets) -
There was draw between Korba and Kalinga (0-0), Siliguri defeated Damanjodi (3-1), Digboi lost to New Town (3-0) and Daligaon defeated Dulliajan (1-0).
In the matches held at Pant Stadium the results were- Balconagar lost to Ruby Park (1-7), Bilaspur defeated Ranchi (1-0) and Itanagar lost to Dimapur (0-4).
The teams qualified for the quarter-finals are: Bilaspur, Dhaligaon, Dimapur, Durg, Kalinga, New Town, Ruby Park and Siliguri.
In the quarter-finals – Dhaligaon defeated Kalinga (7-4), Bilaspur lost to Siliguri (0-2), Dimapur defeated New Town (2-0) and Durg lost to Ruby Park (1-3).
The semi-final matches will be played tomorrow between Dimapur Vs Ruby Park and Siliguri Vs. Dhaligaon.
