Police on Thursday arrested eight persons, including two owners, during a raid on a hookah bar in Raipur city.
Two of them were arrested under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA) while six others were nabbed for making nuisance in the bar.
Raipur Additional Superintendent of Police (Urban) Tarkeshwar Patel said the two owners were Ravi Ahuja (23) and Tanuj Panjwani (20). They own White Earth Café in the capital city.
Six others -- Yash Meghani, Dheeraj Chanani, Sahil Motwani, Kushal Chawla, Tanmay Anand and Anuj Panjwani -- were held on Wednesday night for creating nuisance after consuming hookah.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel banned hookah bars in October.
