During the surprise inspection conducted by Assistant Collector Kunal Dudawat during morning hours at Bilaspur District Hospital on Saturday, eight doctors were found absent during duty hours.
Bilaspur Collector taking cognisance of the incident had ordered to deduct one day salary and issue show cause notice to the absent doctors.
As per official information, Bilaspur collector had received several complaints regarding late arrival of doctors at district hospital. He deputed assistant collector to conduct surprise checking where during inspection it was found that eight doctors were not present in their respective chambers at around 9.40 am.
The doctors are Dr Richa Tiwari, Dr Anil Gupta, Dr Pramod Mahajan, Dr A K Maini, Dr K K Jaiswal, Dr A K Kaushik, Dr A S Khan and Dr Rajiv Kishore.
The assistant collector also inspected the kitchen where food for patients is cooked. He directed to maintain quality and provide food on time to concerned staff. The inspection of cleanliness of hospital was also done.
Two days before Bilaspur collector had taken action against Masturi Block Medical Officer and Ratanpur Medical Officer for laxity in their works.
