Education must for the overall development of personality, hence the Chhattisgarh Government has given special attention to promote education, said Assembly Speaker Dharamlal Kaushik.
Addressing the block-level meeting-cum-orientation workshop organized by the literacy Mission Authority at Ameri Kapa village of Bilha block, speaker Kaushik said that the main objective of literacy was to make literate, those who were not going school and were deprived of education.
He said that with the knowledge of letters, an urge to learn and know more awakened among children or person and self-reliance and self-respect develop in them. With education, overall personality of a person develops, he added.
Kaushik said that the literacy motivators at villages, along with literacy, could do important work for bringing awareness among people. Through public participation, they could motivate people for education, for the solution to basic problems of villages and motivate them to take benefits of government schemes.
He said that CM had launched several public welfare schemes for the development of villages, which was meant for destitute, the poor, women, deserted women, widows and aged people. Kaushik administered oath to the literacy motivators to make India literate. He also distributed free uniform to the school-going children.
