Minister for Woman and Child Development Department Ramsheela Sahu on Monday said that State Government aims for the overall development of the girls and therefore it has made education free for them till graduation level.
Addressing a function here at Puri village, Sahu expressed disappointment for girls are they are still considered to be curse at many places in the country.
On the occasion, the Minister dedicated the middle and high school building and CC road in Bodra village. Besides, cultural stage, building of Mahila Dugdh Sahkari Samiti and an entrance gate at Puri was also dedicated by the Minister.
She said that the State Government has sanctioned a budget of Rs 50 lakh for the beautification work of pond and Rs 10 lakh for the construction of culvert in Puri village.
She declared the financial assistance of Rs 5000 to each of the Ramayan mandlis of Devpur, Bodra and Puri.
