The Election Commission has announced the schedule for special brief revision of voter list in Chhattisgarh. Yhose who would turn 18 years on January 1, 2014 or whose age is more than 18 years and do not have their names included in the voter list can apply during the schedule being announced to get their name added in the voter list, an official press release stated here on Friday.
The addition and deletion of names in the voter list or the claims and objections would be accepted between December 16 and 29, 2013 by the designated officer in the nearest polling centre of the citizens.
The initial publication of the revised voter list would be done on December 16, 2013. The various claims and objections would be redressed on January 6, 2014.The final publication of the voter list would take place on January 15, 2014.
The programme also includes correction of anomalies in the names , surnames, gender or age in the voter list. After visiting the website www.ceochhattisgarh.nic.in, the citizens could look at the voter list and provide information or lodge complaints on toll free number 1950, it stated.
