The Maitri Mahila Samiti (MMS), the body of employees' spouses at NTPC Korba Thermal Power Station, handed over e-rickshaws to project-affected persons of the Station on Friday.
The e-rickshaws were handed over to the project-affected with a view to strengthening their means of livelihood while making a strong case for pollution-free environment in the vicinity of the NTPC’s 2600-MW Power Station at Jamnipali, Korba, a NTPC press release informed. While two such e-rickshaws costing Rs 1.20 lakh each were handed over in a function at Bal Bhawan on July 28, ten more such rickshaws are to be distributed in near future, the press release informed.
Prakash Tiwari, Group General Manager, Basuraj Goswami, GM (FM), Debasmita Tripathy, Head of HR, Seema Tiwari, president, Maitri Mahila Samiti, staff of ladies Club and others were present on the occasion.
