Due to Navmi and Dashami tithis of Aswin month falling on same day, controversy has arisen on celebration of Dussehra.

According to Mahant Ran Sundar Das, Vijaya Dashmi will be celebrated with enthusiasm and traditional fervour at Dudhadhari Mutt on Sunday.
Before the ritual of Ravan Dahan lord Ram’s abhishek, havan and pujan will be performed. Before taking out Vijay Julus (victory procession of lord Ram) pujan of Ashwa (Horses) and Ashtra (Arms) will also be done. Thereafter, a grand Shobha Yatra will be taken out from Dudhadhari Mutt.
