A drunken man on Sunday afternoon killed his three innocent children by slitting their throat with a chopper at Valmiki Nagar near Kabir Nagar. According to sources, the accused, in an inebriated condition, often beat up his wife and children.
The Amanaka police have arrested the accused. On getting information of the murder of three children, hundreds of people gathered at Valmiki Nagar. Additional police force has been deployed there. According to police sources, resident of Valmiki Nagar Neelmani Mishra, as usual, reached his house after having liquor and started abusing the children.
Then he took a sharp-edged chopper slit throat of the children one after another. In the assault, Gautam Mishra, 6, Sharad Mishra, 4 and Vinay Mishra, 2, died on the spot. His elder son, anyhow, escaped from the attack and ran away from the house. The sources said that when the accused was attacking the children with the chopper, his neighbours had heard their screaming, but, as it was usual, they do not pay attention. When people got information about this gruesome incident, they informed the police control room.
On getting information of the incident, Amanaka police reached the spot. Hundreds of people had gathered the spot even before the police reached there. Infuriated over the incident dwellers of the area thrashed the drunken killer and handed him over to the Amanaka police. It is said that the mother of the children is a domestic help and do cleaning work of others’ houses. She was not in the house at the time of the incident. On getting the information she reaching the house.
His elder son is yet to come out of this trauma. He had tried to save his younger brothers, but due to fear of his father, he ran away from the house. People of the area said that 10 years also, Neelmani’s love marriage was solemnized with the approval of their families. He works at RK Steel Rohinipuram as a labourer. As a habitual drinker, often he had abstained from work. Hence his wife started working at nearby houses as domestic help and earned livelihood of the children.
According to Amanaka police station in-charge DC Tiwari, a murder case has been registered against the accused Neelmani Mishra. He has been arrested. He is in an inebriated condition. He killed the three children in the inebriated condition.
