With a view to generating awareness among the people regarding importance of cleanliness, a number of school students and Scouts and Guides cadets on Sunday took out a rally from the Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) office here.
DRM Rajeev Saxena and other senior railway officials flagged off the rally that reached RVH Colony before concluding at WRS Colony, a SECR press release issued here on Sunday stated.
On the occasion, Saxena urged the people to contribute in maintaining cleanliness at the Railway offices, Station, Railway colony and other public places.
He made a public appeal to take a pledge for not littering as many diseases spread due to dumping garbage in public places. Notably, the Raipur Railway division has lined up many activities to observe a fortnight’s cleanliness drive.
