A drive to ensure ‘Polythene Carry-bag Free BSP Township’ was launched jointly by Public Health Department (PHD) of Town Services under Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) and Bhilai Municipal Corporation (BMC) here.A joint team consisting officials and employees from PHD and BMC inspected a large number of shops ‘A’ Market in Sector -6 and warned them for not using polythene carry bags in future.
The officials from BMC also warned the shopkeepers that any of them found using polythene bags would be subjected to legal action.All the shopkeepers, vendors and wholesalers at various places in BSP Township were warned not to use polythene carry bags.
