Once demoted from senior post of Director, Medical Education (DME) for alleged nepotism, Dr Sl Adile has once again been given senior post in health department and will now take charge as Medical College, Jagdalpur Dean in place of Dr US Paikra, an order to this regard has been issued by Director, Medical Education, the other day.
Notably, during the establishment of Jagdalpur Medical College Dr Adile was working not only as Director of Medical Education but was also seeing the work of Dean, Jagdalpur Medical College.
However, when he was accused of appointing his daughter and another candidate in Jagdalpur Medical College on fake grounds, he had to demit the post of DME. Now once again Dr Adile has been made Dean of Jagdalpur Medical College. How the second innings of Dr Adile would be, only the time to come will tell.
Meanwhile, termination of services of Dr R S Netam, looking after the health facilities in Bastar, is talk of the town these days as he continues to render his services even as yet. Bastar health facilities are in tatters, no doubt. Establishment of Jagdalpur Medical College had given some hope of improvement in the situation but unfortunately it has not shed its image as referral centre or at the best a district hospital.
In this scenario, bringing Dr Adile again to the front to improve facilities at the Medical College or allowing medicos like Dr Netam to serve Bastar people may hardly give the desired result.
