Children’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and gaiety on November 14 at Delhi Public School (DPS), Bhilai.

The Pre-Primary Wing (Nursery to I) and Primary Wing (II to V) students saw their own reflections on their stage in the form of their teachers who presented the thought, news, poem, speech and the new word for the day, a press release issued by the school stated.

The special attractions were the puppet show, group dances and music; the huge applause by the students seem to further cement the bond between teachers and students, as the teachers reminisced about their childhood through their presentations. In the Senior Wing the day commenced with a Special Assembly wherein the teachers conducted the assembly from singing the prayer to presenting the news and thought for the day.

The poem highlighted the trials and tribulations of a student as he tried to memorize his lessons for the day. Suman Kumar Tripathi enthralled the students with his mimicry and the senior teachers presented a mesmerizing dance performance. Apart from this, to increase the politicial knowledge of the students, a mock parliament was demonstrated through which the senior school students enacted the proceedings of the parliament such as passing of the bills, debates and discussions on various topics related to national issues.
