The Directorate of Public Relations on Thursday observed ‘Constitution Day’.
The Preface of the Indian Constitution was read by all the officials and employees together and they took the pledge of unity and integrity at Chhotapara based Directorate premises in the city.
It is noteworthy that this year 125th birth anniversary of Dr Bheemrao Ambedkar, the Chairman of Constitution Drafting Committee, is being observed across the country.
The Constitution was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949. later it came into effect in the entire country on January 26, 1950.
