On the directions of State Urban Administration and Development Minister Amar Agrawal, Double Entry Accounting System has been started in the 168 civic bodies to maintain financial discipline in Chhattisgarh, officials stated.
Officials of the Audit Department at the Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats will be trained for the successful operation of the system.
The training is being arranged at divisional level. Am official press release mentioned that the State Urban Development Authority has sent necessary directions to the divisional offices of Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur, Surguja and Bastar.
The Chief Municipal officials have been asked to ensure this training for their concerned officers and staff.
Also, the auditing officers deployed for internal audit in the State government offices have been instructed to undergo the training.
The training is scheduled in three phases covering the first phase from April 11 to 13, second phase from April 25 to 27 and the third phase from May 18 to 20.
