Encouraged with the tremendous success of the first phase of its Parivartan Yatra, the Congress is going to be active with double enthusiasm in the second phase of the Yatra.
According to a party press statement issued here on Monday, the enthusiasm of the Congress men has been increased with the arrival of energetic speaker Rita Bahuguna Joshi and Madhya Pradesh Congress legislative Party leader Ajay Singh on the first day of the 2nd phase of the Parivartan Yatra.
On Monday, the first day of the 2nd phase, the Yatra was started from Raigarh district headquarters and reached Kharsia, the constituency of Chhattisgarh State Congress president, Nand Kumar Patel, at 3 in the afternoon. The release said that the people of Kharsia constituency were enthusiastic over Patel’s appointment to the state Congress president post.
On the one hand the arrival of Ajay Singh, the son of Arjun Singh, who once had represented Kharsia as MlA, is being considered as a powerful expression of family relations since generations and on the other, the participation of Rita Bahuguna Joshi, a trusted person of Rahul Gandhi, has been taken seriously in the political circles.
The Congress leaders in Chhattisgarh had been much excited with the participation of senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh in the Parivartan Yatra. And, it is being considered that the Chhattisgarh visit of Digvijay Singh through the parivartan Yatra, after a considerable time, would send a lot of message, the release added.
To bring change in Chhattisgarh, along with the increased participation of national leaders from Delhi, now the Congress workers have also girded their loins to fight a decisive battle in the coming election.
With an objective to ensure participation of every booth Congress committee of all the poling booths of each assembly constituency in the Parivartan Yatra, the whole party organisation, from state to block level has been engaged in full strength, the release said.
