Higher Education Department Additional Chief Secretary Sunil Kujur on Wednesday directed officials to do proper upkeep of the official records of General Provident Fund (GPF).
He directed officials to maintain accounts and eliminate discrepancies.
The concerned Accounts Department officials should inform the subscribers at regular intervals with correct names and GPF account numbers, Kujur said.
Finance Department Principal Secretary Amitabh Jain said that a Nodal Officer should be appointed and a meeting of Treasury and Sub-Treasury officials should be conducted.
According to High Court directives, the accounts of General Provident Fund should be settled as early as possible, he said.
