District Collector Priyanka Shukla urged the villagers of Sapghara under Duldula Janpad on Thursday to promote the Open Defecation Free (ODF) village campaign.
Responding to the initiative of the Collector, the villagers raised hands and pledged to make their village 'ODF' soon.
Shukla told the villagers to use the toilets for the sake of good health and security.
Being a doctor, the Collector said she is aware of the ailments found among women due to open defecation.
She focussed on the various services provided by the government through hospitals, anganwadis, schools and colleges.
Meanwhile, Janpad Chairperson Samundri Besra assured the early disposal of the problems of the villagers.
As many as 16 drought affected farmers were distributed around 10.70 quintals of free paddy seeds in this camp. Vegetable seed packets were provided to 14 farmers.
