Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday gave a Diwali bonanza by promoting nearly 4,000 police personnel across the state.
Director General of Police D.M. Awasthi said a large number of personnel have been promoted from the post of Sepoy to Constable and from the post of Constable to Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI).
As many as 2,952 Sepoys became Constables and 865 Constables were promoted as ASI.
