Collector Bhim Singh has said that soon the district would be free of polythene bags menace.In a meeting held here, Singh directed officials to convene a meeting of traders and businessmen to make them aware of the harmful effects of polythene bags on the environment.
He also reviewed the preparations pertaining to Three-tier Panchayat elections.During the meeting, Collector asked the Mining Officer and SDMs to make sure there is no mining carried out by anybody without a pit pass.Singh also stressed for taking seriously the works done under Prime Minister’s Jan Dhan Yojana, Aadarsh Gram Yojana and Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan.
Divisional Forest Officer Vivek Acharya, Upper Collector IS Agarwal and Pradeep Mishra, SR Thakur and other officials were present in the meeting.
