Reacting to senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi’s statement, Chief Minister Raman Singh on Monday said that dismissal of his Government is a 'long cherished dream' of the former but the dream will never turn into reality.
On Sunday, senior Congress leader Ajit Jogi had claimed that he can bring down the Raman Singh government anytime. Singh said that Jogi is a day dreamer and had been wishing to bring down his government for past 11 years. ‘But he will never be able to realise the dream’.
Singh accused the Opposition Congress of deliberately disrupting the proceedings of the House and said that the government is ready for discussions on the issues raised by the Opposition members.
He said that the Speaker had accepted the request for discussion but it was the Opposition which shied away from discussion.
Assembly is a platform for discussions but the Opposition has been trying to use it as a platform for dharna and protest. Congress should stage dharnas and protests outside the House, said Singh.
He said that Minister Amar Agrawal gave explanation and Ministers Ajay Chandrakar and Premprakash Pandey had requested for discussion.
But Opposition members continued with dharna instead of having discussion which is undesirable.
