Digvijay speaking language of emergency, says Upasane

The State unit of Bharatiya Janata Party Tuesday criticised senior Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijay Singh for his awful comment against the Supreme Court.

Notably the apex court had termed the Central Bureau of Investigation as a caged parrot which repeats its masters’ statements only. In a statement issued on Tuesday, vice president of Chhattisgarh BJP Sachchidanand Upasane said that the Supreme Court’s castigating remark was necessitated by the misdemeanour of the UPA government led by Congress. He charged that Digvijay Singh was speaking the language of emergency. Upasane charged that the UPA government fearing its misdeeds may come into open not only pressurised CBI to share the Coalgate investigation report but also incorporated changes to its own likes, therefore, proving the apex court ample reason to express such a comment. Holding the Congress responsible for the entire episode, Upasane said that instead of accepting the mistake, Congress leader was indulging in denigrating the Apex Court. In fact, Digvijay’s statement reminded the action of late Mrs Indira Gandhi who after an adverse decision of the Allahabad High Court against herself had imposed emergency in the country in her bid to gag the voice of dissent, Upasane added.
