As many as ` 3.85 crore has been sanctioned for the installation of electric poles and street lighting at 111 villages at Magarlod development block in Dhamtari district.
The sanction was made under the Chief Minister Grameen Yantriki Vidyuthikaran Yojana for the current fiscal 2016-2017.
The order to this effect has been issued Chief Executive Officer Zilla Panchayat Dhamtari. The expansion of electrification will be done in 96 villages in Development block Kurud and 13 villages at Magarlod area.
The initiative for rapid expansion was taken by Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Ajay Chandrakar and the amount was sanctioned soon.
