Former Chief Minister Raman Singh on Wednesday charged that removal of Director General of Police (DGP), A.N. Upadhyay and Chief Secretary Ajay Singh by the Congress government in the State is in violation of Supreme Court guidelines.
While addressing media persons in the Chhattisgarh Assembly premises here, the former Chief Minister said “A DGP is not a ‘Patwari’, who could be shunted and charge could be given to others.”
Such politics cannot be performed in the State and the new government should abide by Supreme Court guidelines, he said.
“I am also saying this openly that whatever investigation the current regime would initiate against me, we will strongly oppose the wrong doings of the ruling government ”, he added.
