With few days left in State Assembly election, the State Police Department has also pulled up its socks for conducting fair election in Chhattisgarh. In this connection, Director General of Police Ramniwas chaired a meeting of all the Reserve Inspectors (RIs) and Quarter Masters (QMs) of all the districts here on Friday.

“During the election jawans of central paramilitary forces along with Policemen from different States would reach Chhattisgarh on election duty. This is our duty to introduce them about the geography conditions of State so that they could work in a better way. Safe movement of forces to and fro their destinations is also

the responsibility of our police,” the DGP said and added that this is the duty of our police officers to ensure best possible facility to the jawans coming from outside State so that they could return with good image of Chhattisgarh State in their heart. The DGP has directed the RIs and QMs to check the availability of resources and get repaired the instruments required. He also asked to make proper arrangements for basic amenities for the forces.

The DGP told officers to ensure proper coordination between various department/officers and also avail important telephone numbers to Police officers coming from other State. We hope that by conducting a free, fair and peaceful election we would be able to set an example, the DGP opined. Senior police officers also attended the meeting.
