State government through an order on Tuesday assigned Director General of Police D.M. Awasthi additional charges of Director General Special Investigation Bureau (SIB) and Director General, Naxal Operation.
In the same order another police official of 1987 batch IPS, Vinay Kumar Singh, who was holding the charges of Director General, Economic Offence Wing (EOW) and Anti Corruption Bureau had been given the charge of Director General Home Guard and Citizen Security.
The newly assigned post to Singh had been declared at par to the post of Special Director General.
